Anya
Lureman studied Visual Arts at the University of Johannesburg and is currently
working towards obtaining her honours degree in 2023. She is a
multidisciplinary artist focusing mainly in printmaking and drawing. She has concentrated
largely on Etching and Drypoint and wishes to explore all the other endless possibilities
printmaking has to offer. Her own life serves as most of the inspiration behind
her work. The physical act of printmaking and its final product serve as a
sifting through time and emotion by the use of materials and subject matter. By
using the creative process as a form of self-expression she is able to resolve the
intricately woven details of her daily life.
