Rose-Marie Schütze studied Commercial Art but is largely self-taught in making art in different media. She lives in a small village near Bethlehem in the beautiful Eastern Free state, and it is here that she first became aware of the plight of the girdled lizards. She often fuses different printing methods with oil painting for a multi layered effect which enhances the complexity of relationships and interconnects conservation. She firmly believes that her growth and development is due to her interaction with likeminded artists and this remains a work in progress.
